WIRELESS PROFINET – IN PRACTICE
In automation sensor and application data from machines are transmitted from the field level to a central control unit. Moving parts, e.g. in sewage treatment plants or cranes, require wireless communication solutions for the different protocols (fieldbus). Therefore, radio links are used. The DATAEAGLE 4000 modules “speak PROFINET“ and provide for communication in wireless network areas with highest reliability – thanks to their filter function patented by Schildknecht against lost or damaged telegrams. No bus errors anymore cause by interferences!
WIRELESS PROFINET – PRODUCT FEATURES
Various radio technologies are used for transmission, mostly Bluetooth 2.4 GHz or 869 / 915 MHz in the licensed band. Our data pre-processing allows you to realize transmission speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s. In addition, the radio systems are easy to install like a cable – Plug & Play. There are two different housing variants compact (IP 20) for cabinet mounting and X-treme (IP 65) for direct use in industrial environments or outdoors.
