Overview

NETLink® PRO Compact

In general, connection to each MPI/PROFIBUS terminal of the bus system or directly at the interfaces of active and passive participants is also possible. The PG socket integrated in the connector housing allows connection of additional devices.
The integrated web interface offers parameterization, diagnostic, and security features, and for functional enhancements, the user can use our free diagnostic software SHTools to, for example, automatically perform firmware updates. The latest version is available for download.

The NETLink PRO Compact is a communications processor in the plug format for programming, visualization, and remote maintenance. It combines flexibility and a compact design. Power is supplied to the NETL ink® either through the CPU of the automation device or externally with DC 24 V as an option. The network connection can be used with any standard Cat-5 cable, making cable lengths up to 100 meters feasible without additional components.

The DATAEAGLE Compact 3712A radio system was particularly developed for transparent data transmission of PROFIBUS DP and PROFIsafe via Bluetooth. The patented technology guarantees a highly reliable radio connection without radio disturbances and prevents plant downtimes.

The use of advanced Bluetooth 5 wireless technology in the DATAEAGLE Compact 3732 enables the highest speed and latency requirements. This makes the DATAEAGLE 3732 particularly suitable for high-performance safety applications.

Overview

The most widely used application for Bluetooth up to now was and is the connection to
smartphones, tablets or PCs. However, in control engineering and automation technology also
demand for wireless data transmission of Bluetooth sensors into the control unit is increasing
meanwhile.

Integration of the ?Bluetooth Low Energy? interface into the radio system DATAEAGLE
enables to satisfy this wish and to transmit data from Bluetooth sensors directly into the control unit via fieldbuses such as e.g. PROFINET and to process there. Using the radio system
DATAEAGLE compact 2730 the user can therefore take advantage of wireless sensors for example
at machine parts that are difficult to access; on the other hand he can transmit sensor data to the control unit via Bluetooth Low Energy in a cost-effective and safe manner.
