MODBUS TCP SERVER to PROFIBUS PB (PA/DP) Master Gateway

Simple connection of PROFIBUS Slave Devices to Modbus Control Systems via Internal I/O Mapping

With mbGate PB it is possible to integrate up to 2 PROFIBUS PA segments and 1 PROFIBUS DP segment into Modbus TCP control systems. It acts as Modbus TCP Server and PROFIBUS Master. With our gateway the engineering costs can be reduced since it re-uses existing power conditioners in technology upgrade projects. It enables configuration, parameterization and plant asset management using standard industry tools.

The PROFIBUS Tester: ‘PROFIBUS Tester 5’ (pb-t5 or BC-700-PB) is a powerful diagnostic and troubleshooting tool for testing cables, measuring signals and analyzing communication of PROFIBUS networks. It is battery powered and provides a graphical display, which allows for quick results when working in standalone mode. Optionally, also the PROFIBUS PA network can be analyzed. Additionally, the BC-700-PB supports exporting test results for advanced analysis.

Application

The service interface is inserted between two bus stations. When not in use, the service output of the T piece is closed with an end cap. At baud rates of 1.5 Mbit/s or higher, use the supplied cable to ensure that the required minimum distance between bus stations is maintained.
