uaGate SI makes data integration easier than ever before. The gateway supports the connection of SIMATIC S7-300, S7-400, S7-1200 and S7-1500 controllers from Siemens and uses the OPC UA standard for a simple and secure data integration of new and existing plants in higher-level management systems, such as ERP, MES or SCADA systems.

In addition, uaGate SI also offers MQTT Publisher functionality, enabling direct integration of PLC data into private or public IoT cloud applications on the IT side. The generic MQTT implementation supports the use of a large number of different cloud providers. Which cloud platforms are supported?

We support with all Softing gateways (echocollect, uaGate, edgeGate) the Microsoft Azure Cloud, Amazon AWS Cloud, IBM Bluemix Cloud and other cloud providers, which are using MQTT for telemetry data.

What is the size of the Store & Forward queue on the echocollect?

The S&F queue for MQTT is unlimited (except the size of the sd-card). The echo buffers in the ram, and after it collects a bunch of messages, they were copied to the sd-card. To use the S&F feature, QoS 1 or QoS 2 must be used.

Which SD-card sizes are supported?

SD: from 8 MB till 2 GB
SDHC: from 4 GB till 32 GB
(SDXC is not supported)

Which OS is used in the echo devices?

What happens when the SD-card is full?

When enabled, the oldest data will be rewritten by the latest, in a circular buffer manner.

OPC UA SERVER GATEWAY FOR SIEMENS SINUMERIK 840D SL/PL CONTROLLERS

This gateway allows the reading of all data from the SINUMERIK 840D machine tool. It can also access the NC parts with its axis, tool, program and data, as well as specific alarms. In addition, a connection to the SIMATIC Siemens S7 can be established. The data from the 2 connections is available via the OPC UA and the MQTT interface and can be used for “Industry 4.0 Applications”

With the uaGate 840D gateway, important spindle and axis data such as torque and power consumption can be read and reused for many applications. currently used tool are accessible.
